F -- TRANSPORT AND DISPOSAL OF HAZARDOUS WASTES FROM CORPS OF ENGINEERS OPERATIONS FACILITIES ALONG THE SAVANNAH RIVER SOL DACW21-97-B-0029 DUE 050697 POC Point of Contact -SHARON GODBEE, 912-652-5476 This procurement is for the transport and disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous and controlled waste from J. Strom Thurmond Lake and Dam Project, Richard B. Russell Lake and dam Project, and Hartwell Lake and Dam Project located in Georgia and South Carolina. Disposal Management Plan has to be approved prior to any transport or disposal. Work also includes preparation (packaging, labeling, etc.) of the wastes for transport, disposal, and coordination related to transport and disposal. Some of the wstes are PCB-contaminated liquids, sludges or solids, and RCRA Waste liquid, sludges and solids. It is the Government's intent to award one indefinite delivery type contract as a result of this solicitation. This contract period will be for a one-year period, with two additional one-year options. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for this project is 4953. This solicitation is issued under the "Business Opportunity development Reform Act of 1988" (Public Law 100-656). Request for bid packages can be obtained from the Savannah District.
