The specific title of this particular procurement is the "Bald Cypress Acquisition, Jeanerette/Prudential and Williams, Inc/Brownwell-Kidd/Fielding Lewis Cocke Ownerships." The contract area is located in St. Martin and St. Mary Parish, LA. The contract area is comprised of approximately 125 ownerships including approximately 15,700.00 acres of Fee, excluding minerals, Environmental Protection and Developmental Control Easement; Perpetual Flowage, Environmental Protection and Developmental Control Easement. The successful contractor will initially provide approximately 125 Interim Binders with Chain of Title, and throughout the designated contract period, provide Intermediate Certificates and/or Endorsements, as needed. If/when the Government completes negotiations with the landowners and acquires the subject property, Final Title Insurance will be ordered. The term of contract shall be 5 years. The estimated value of the required right of way is approximately $ 42,248.00 if acquired in fee. If acquired in easement the value will be approximately $ 12,221.00. The U.S. Department of Justice requires a minimally qualified contractor to be a Title Company or an attorney/direct agent for a title company authorized to issue title policies in the state of Louisiana.
