C -- A/E OPEN ENDED ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES SOL RFP 526-52-97 DUE 041097 POC Rufino M.Villaluz, Contracting Officer A/E services are required in the area of Architectural/Engineering discipline. Provide comprehensive architect/engineer services for the design of various in-house projects at this Medical Center. These services may include but are not limited to full architectural, electrical, mechanical, fire protection, interior design, and health planning services. The scope of work may include the preparation of drawings, specifications, cost estimates, construction period services, site visits, and miscellaneous reports. Contract performance will be one (Base) year beginning with the date of award, with optional four (4), 1 year extension. The total contract amount including all option years shall not exceed $2,000,000. Each task order shall not exceed $450,000. Selection Criteria: 1. Professional qualifications necessary for satisfactory performance of required services; 2. Specialized experience and technical competence in the type of work required; 3. Capacity to accomplish the work in the required time; 4. Past performance on contracts with the VA and other Government agencies in term of cost control, quality of work, compliance with work schedules; 5. Location in the general geographical area of the project and knowledge of the locality. Area of consideration is limited to 75 miles radius of the VA Medical Center, Bronx, NY. A/E must have an existing design production office within the geographic limitation. Respondents must demonstrate capability to perform 80% of all contract services in existing production offices within the geographic locations. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside.
