The Library of Congress has a requirement for graphics design services and related design assistance for the development of a logo design and family of related designs for the Library of Congress's Bicentennial to be celebrated in the year 2000. Examples of products/promotional items for which the logo design (and family of designs) are planned include newspaper and magazine advertisements, banners, small flags, posters, programs for events, invitations to events, and informational brochures. The logo design may also be considered for use in Library Sales Shop products such as T-shirts, bookmarks, magnets, umbrellas, tote bags, mouse pads, etc. The contractor will also be required to assist in the development and refining of the final wording for the Library's Bicentennial theme. The contractor will be required to work in cooperation with the LC Bicentennial Steering Committee and attendance will be required at up to six meetings to be held at the Library of Congress, 101 Independence Avenue, S.E., Washington, D.C.
