The project involves the construction of new sewerage facilities, including a new duplex submersible grinder pump station, approximately 6200 linear feet of 4 inch Ductile Iron force main, and demolition of an existing on-site sewage treatment facility at the Glenmont Job Corps Center in the town of Bethlehem, New York. The work includes mechanical, electrical, plumbing, excavation and backfill, grading, seeding, and site clearing. The work also includes demolition of structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing elements and appurtenances of the existing sewage treatment plant and removal of all demolition materials. The estimated cost range is from $250,000 to $500,000. The estimated completion time is approximately 112 calendar days to substantial completion. Plans and specifications will be available on April 22, 1997, from the office of U.S. Department of Labor/ETA, C/O N.K. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications shall be directed to the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper handling of requests. Request must be in writing, and bid deposit is not required. Request will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies are exhausted. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. Pre-bid walk-thru is scheduled on May 7, 1997 at 10:00 A.M., local time. The Bid opening date is scheduled on May 29, 1997 at 2:00 P.M., local time. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside Acquisition. The Standard Classification Code is 1623.
