Lubran, Contracting Officer (303) 987-6811 The contractor shall construct a new entry road from the exit ramp on State Highway 163 to the Prairie Learning Center Visitor Center, Walnut Creek National Wildlife Center, Prairie City, Jasper County, Iowa. The two lane road which is approximately five miles in length will have three foot shoulder on each side. The driving surface will be asphalt cement concrete. The work will include layout, earthwork, drainage, structures, paving, signage and striping. The project will also include the construction of timber bridge, approximately 35 feet in length. On site performance time for this contract shall be 365 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed -- this time does not include a four month winter shutdown period. The estimated cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This acquisition is unrestricted. The estimated date for issuance of the IFB is May 2, 1997.
