Y -- CONSTRUCTION OF JET BLAST DEFLECTORS SOL DAHA30-97-B-0003 DUE 052297 POC Contract Specialist Andrew Stewart (518) 786-4741 (Site Code DAHA30) Provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment and incidentals to construct a Jet Blast Deflector at the Stewart Air National Guard Base, Newburgh, New York as per specifications and drawings provided by the government, abiding to all codes and contracting clauses. The facility will consist of excavation of existing airfield pavements, placing base material and foundation, providing and erecting a Jet Blast Deflector for C-5A aircraft, relocating a 75 foot high ramp lighting pole, extending existing underground utilities to ramp lighting pole. There will be two Additive Bid Items (ABI) with this project: ABI No. 1 will include excavation and construction of a second concrete foundation for a jet blast deflector, restoration of disturbed pavement, and pavement of a portion of turf. ABI No. 2 includes installation of a second Jet Blast Deflector on a concrete foundation for C-5A aircraft. Construction is a reinforced concrete foundation and a prefabricated steel blast deflector. The ABI's will consist ofitems which may/or may not be included in the construction contract. All ABI's will also be consolidated per specification and drawings provided by the government, abiding to all codes and contracting clauses. The applicable Standard Industrial Code (SIC) and Federal Supply Code (FSC) are 1794 and Y119 respectively. The location of work is listed above. The proposed project magnitude is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. IFB: DAHA30-97-B-0003 will be issued on/about 22 Apr 97, with a bid opening date on/about 22 May 97. The performance time for this project is scheduled for 120 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
