Z -- STUCTURAL REPAIRS BLDG. !300 SOL F65503-97-B0008 DUE 051597 POC Airman Fadely @ 907-377-3971 Work consists of structural upgrades to the bay and core areas of Building 1300 (Combat Alert Cell), and associated roof work. An unnderground storage tank (UST) is also to be replaced, with related pavements work included as well. The project calls for demolition of the existing wood roof deck and roof system(20,540 SF), the UST, and some perimeter pavements. A new structural steel deck will be installed, along with additional structural members to upgrade the steel frame for local seismic requirements and snow loads. New concrete shear walls will be constructed on either end of the building for seismic considerations, and mechanical and electrical modifications will be made as required to accomodate the new deck. A new roof system will be constructed over the steel deck, reusing some existing roofing materials and using new for some elements. Flashings, trim, drains, and other associated roof components are also included. A new UST is to be installed away from the building, and areas around the facility are to be repaved for vehicular traffic. The work area is then to be relandscaped to meet original conditions. Hazardous materials will not be encountered in this project.***** (0083)
