Coast Guard has a requirement to establish a program for approximately 172 various Fairbanks Morse/formerly G.E. ALCO Engine replacement parts for General Electric Alco, Inc. Model 251 diesel engines on the 210' and 270' WMEC AND 400' WAGB Class Coast Guard Vessels. The form, fit and function of these parts must be exactly compatible with the end item or system for which it is intended for on the diesel engines. This is critical to the end item or system functional characteristics. It has been determined in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 that negotiations will be conducted with only Fairbanks Morse Engine Division., and their authorized distributors due to the fact that exact compatibility with the end item is required. A Requirements type contract is anticipated for a base year with (4) 1 year option years. Deliver F.O.B. Destination to USCG Engineering Logistics Center, Warehouse Annex, 6751 Alexander Bell Drive, Columbia, MD 21046. Delivery is 9 months or sooner after receipt of delivery order.
