Defense Distribution Depot Albany located at the Marine Corp Logistics
Base in Albany, Georgia has a requirement for the procurement of one
(1) each self-propelled rail car loading/unloading ramp. The following
specifications represent the Government's minimum needs for the ramp:
load capacity -- 25,000 lbs.; gross weight -- 25,000 lbs.; hoisting
speed -- 30 feet per minute; hoisting mechanism -- hydraulic with
cables and locking system; approach ramp -- 6 degrees and 17 feet long;
main ramp -- 4# expanded metal and 54 feet long; bridge plates --
hydraulic and 54 inches long; vehicle guide rail -- both sides and full
length; power supply -- 2.3 liter, 4 cylinder engine; hydraulic
controls -- all functions at driver's seat; operator platform -- left
side with seat and seat belt; tire centering guides; safety yellow
paint; 5 mile per hour sign; 110 volt hydraulic tank heater and engine
block heater; buzzer and beacon warning indicators; tri-level rail car
loading; adjustable stabilizers with one on each corner; 4 -- 6 mile
per hour road speed; hydrostatic, forward and reverse drives; power
steering; hydraulic, pedal operated brakes. One year warranty. Buck
Equipment Model CDSP-204TM (Heavy Duty Model) or equal. If a contractor
is offering other than the Buck Equipment Model listed above,
Descriptive Literature which clearly identifies the Manufacturer's
Name, Brand, Model, Part Number and clearly addresses the
specifications mentioned above must be submitted with your faxed or
mailed quotation. Delivery must be quoted FOB Destination to Defense
Distribution Depot Albany, Albany, GA 31704-1128. The Government
desires delivery to be within 15 calendar days after contract award.
The Government requires delivery to be within 30 calendar days after
contract award. This request for quotation and the resultant contract
award are being processed in accordance with Simplified Acquisition
Procedures. A written request for quotation will not be issued. All
responsible sources may submit a quotation with descriptive literature
for the above self-propelled rail car loading/unloading ramp, which if
received by 3:00PM ET on April 18, 1997, shall be considered.
Contractor may mail quotation to the above address or may fax quotation
to the Contract Specialist's attention at 717-770-5689. The Government
will award a contract resulting from this request for quotation to the
responsible source whose offer will be the most advantageous to the
Government. The following factors, in descending order of importance,
will be used to evaluate offers: (1) technical capability of the item
