TIMS Tel: 410-965-9488 THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION (SSA) IS SEEKING SOURCES FOR COMMERCIALLY OFF-THE-SHELF (COTS), PERSONAL COMPUTER (PC) BASED ACTION TRACKING APPLICATION SOFTWARE FOR WINDOWS NT/WINDOWS 95 CLIENT/SERVER NETWORKED PCS THROUGHOUT THE NATION FUNCTIONING IN AN OFFICE AUTOMATION ENVIRONMENT, INVOLVING ALL LEVELS OF GENERIC GOVERNMENT ACTION TRACKING. THE SOFTWARE MUST OPERATE WITHIN THE AGENCY~S INFRASTRUCTURE -- MICROSOFT NT CLIENTS AND SERVERS AND ORACLE RELATIONAL DATA BASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM. The system shall electronically store, transmit and track actions from the executive levels down to and including every organizational unit/component and be accessible by all employees using client workstations. Each organization shall have the capability to initiate, change (with audit trail), track and redelegate actions. A required feature of the system is the capability to electronically access the documents and files associated with the action. Management information in the form of customized, ad-hoc and standard canned reports shall be available from the system including, but not limited to, for example, information on the quantity, priority and location of actions that are pending, changed, closed, overdue, etc. The software system must not require any tailoring modifications to the source code to function in SSA~s client server environment. Should modifications be required that are deemed necessary to implement SSA~s functional requirements and compatibility, they shall be capable of being made by operating user personnel following instructions in the vendor-supplied software system operations manual. Interested parties must send complete information including but not limited to functional characteristics, capacity, size, cost, delivery, terms, inputs/outputs, DBMS, list of customers using the product and the PC resources required to support full operation of the product as advertised. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFOMATION ONLY. Incomplete responses will not be evaluated due to time constraints. Closing date for submission of response is 21 calendar days from the date of this notice. Respondents will not be notified of the results of any evaluation made from the information submitted. No award will be made on the basis of this synopsis. The information received will be used in SSA's assessment of capable sources. Requests for copies of solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged.
