The Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC) requires Nordic Ski Instruction by One (1) Professional Ski Instructor of America (PSIA) Full and/or Master Certified Nordic Instructor and Three (3) PSIA Level Two Certified Nordic Instructors. The purpose of this requirement is to train Marines and Sailors to become military ski instructors. The period of performance for the Base Year of the contract will be intermittently throughout October 1997 to April 1998, with the option to extend for the period October 1998 to April 1999. Nordic Ski instruction will include both down hill telemark free heel techniques and flat ground/back country techniques, taught in accordance with Military Ski Manuals and PSIA Nordic standards. Places of performance will be the Toiyable National Forest surrounding the MCMWTC and local Ski resorts. The MCMLWTC is located northwest of Bridgeport, Ca. on California State Route 108 Sonora Pass approximately four (4) miles west of the junction with Highway 395. (0084)
