Engineering/technical services in support of the Deep Submergence Systems Program Office located at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, NH. The contractor shall design, develop and/or modify plans, test procedures, feasibility studies, plan schedules, procure and/or manufacture material and components and provide the onsite support necessary to accomplish various alterations, repairs, and improvements primarily to Deep Submergence Vehicles (DSV), Advanced Tethered Vehicles (ATV), Advanced Seal Delivery Systems (ASDS), rescue vehicles, submarines, surface vessels and naval equipment and facilities. The proposed contract shall be awarded as a cost plus fixed fee, indefinite delivery type contract for a period of one base year plus four option years with 12,900 total estimated hours per year. Various labor categories include, but are not limited to, Naval Architects, Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineers, Quality Assurance Specialist, Engineering Technician, and Draftsman.
