Z -- HIGH PRESSURE BOILER INSTALLATION, BUILDING 362 SOL N62472-96-R-3262 POC For plans and specifications call, (908) 323-2494 Synopsis: The Department of Navy is issuing an RFP for this design build project. The scope of work includes design and preparation of specifications for new equipment, and the contractor shall subsequently manufacture, assemble, deliver, install and test in accordance with drawings, specifications and procedures prepared by the contractor for approval by the Government. The requirements covered in this section includes design and construction of a replacement high pressure boiler, economizer, tack, additional feedwater pump, new piping and associated designs to replace or upgrade interconnecting piping (for steam, water, fuel, venting, equipment, mechanical raft equipment, and all other auxiliaries, accessories and foundations, The design shall include a boiler control system which provides combustion, feedwater and feedpump software. Additionally, the work shall include modifications to the building as required for installation and closure; all electrical hookups and evaluation of existing equipment/facilities such as pumps, water treatment, fuel system, and pipe sizing to ensure sufficient capacity exists to support the simultaneous operation of the new boiler with existing Power Plant #2 boilers. This work will be acquired by Source Selection Procedures with qualified offerors based on technical and price competition. The SIC Code is 1711 and the Small Business Size Standard is $7.0 million are applicable to this contract.
