This is a notice of intent to Request a Proposal and negotiate with Applied Display Technology, 2645 Towngate Road, Westlake Village, CA 91362 on an other than full and open competitive basis. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Test Article Preparation Department, Patuxent River, MD has a requirement for Color Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Display, Multi-functional Display Systems. These items must be exact replacement items for the existing instrumentation circuitry to be applicable. In addition, the software code which interfaces to the instrumentation system is proprietary information. As such, Applied Display Technology has been identified as the only responsible source capable of meeting the Government's requirements. The government anticipates ordering two devices at the time of award with an option to procure twenty-five additional units over the base year and four one year option periods. The required delivery schedule is 120 days after receipt of order. This acquisition is being procured in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, as such a SF 1449 shall be issued. The government intends to procure these items on an indefinite-quantity, indefinite-delivery firm-fixed price basis.
