The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPNS), China Lake, California intends to negotiate on a competitive basis a Firm Fixed Price contract for a quantity of 215 TTU-546/E Digital Hygrometers. The contractor shall be required to manufacture, test and validate the design of the TTU-546/E Digital Hygrometer in accordance with the Government Baseline Drawing. Within five days after contract award, the Government will deliver a prototype hardware. One First Article unit shall be produced and tested within 90 days after contract award. Each Digital Hygrometer shall be delivered with two sensors. Testing data shall be included. The Digital Hygrometers shall measure the moisture content of a gas down to a minus 110 degrees celsius. This measurement is critical because it increases the accuracy of low level reading to ensure the moisture level of 2ppmv or less is maintained to meet missile specifications. This moisture level is necessary to maintain the proper level of cleanliness of coolant gas to prevent the missile guidance control section from failing. The Digital Hygrometers must operate over a temperature range of minus 30 degrees celsius to 70 degrees celsius. The wider temperature tolerance is critical to the successful operation of this hygrometer because it must be functional in various climates. Delivery schedule will continue over 24-27 months, beginning with delivery of 10 hygrometers within 3-6 months after contract award. Request for solicitation can be made to the above address.
