The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) proposes to procure for the design, development, fabrication, and testing of fifteen (15) Head Mounted Thermal Imager (HMTI) display components. The system will interface with an HMTI sensor component and customer approved headgear. This effort will last 12 months. The proposed procurement will result in a sole source, firm fixed price (FFP) contract with MICRON DISPLAY TECHNOLOGY, INC.. This announcement is for informational purposes only. The estimated date that the solicitation will be available on the the CECOM Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB) is 14 April 97. U.S. Army CECOM has established the EBB to provide electronic transmittal of Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Invitations for Bids (IFBs) from Government to Industry. All interested parties wishing to do business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive data from the CECOM EBB system. To become a user of the EBB, you will need an identification code and password in addition to a computer terminal equipped with the necessary hardware and software to interface with the EBB system. A user's identification code and password will be issued upon request along with instructions for downloading the EBB User's Manual.
