IS SEEKING WRITTEN INFORMATION FOR PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY. IN ORDER TO

THAT MAY ARISE FROM THIS MARKET SURVEY, INFORMATION REGARDING THE
TECHNICAL POINT OF CONTACT WILL NOT BE GIVEN AND NO APPOINTMENTS FOR
PRESENTATIONS WILL BE MADE. The Naval Facilities Engineering Service
Center (NFESC) is seeking sources for a project of collecting and
analyzing operating and maintenance characteristics of Air Force and
Navy light-duty electric vehicles (EVs) and heavy-duty hybrid electric
vehicles (HEVs) at seven demonstration sites. Data required to be
collected includes vehicle operating characteristics and costs,
electrical energy management, vehicle and charger reliability, and
maintenance characteristics and costs. Manual and automated data
acquisition methods will be employed to collect data on a maximum of 60
EVs/HEVs. Government personnel at the following participating sites
will log and record manual data: McClellan AFB, Norfolk Naval Base, PWC
Washington, NAS North Island, NCBC Port Hueneme and two other Air Force
facilities to be determined where HEVs will be deployed. This project
entails gathering data on the operation and maintenance of EV/HEVs,
organizing and retaining the data, generating data reports, analyzing
data reports and issuing findings, conclusions and recommendations in
annual reports. The project may last for a minimum of two years with an
option of one additional year. Respondents must submit supporting
documentation of their experience in data acquisition and analysis and
a brief description of recommended data to acquire and a plan for data
collection and analysis to assess the operational and maintenance
characteristics of EV/HEVs. Do not submit routine sales catalogs and
brochures that do not address the information required in this
