494-2208 This market survey is being conducted to identify firms
interested in providing base-level support services at Patrick AFB and
Cape Canaveral AS, FL. Services may include fire protection and
security at Cape Canaveral AS, non-critical facilities support,
ordnance, vehicle and equipment maintenance, fitness and support,
systems furniture installation, publications distribution, grounds
maintenance, office moves, refuse collection, hospital custodial,
custodial at Patrick AFB, laundry/dry cleaning, family housing
maintenance, environmental support (asbestos removal, contaminated
material clean-up, oil/water separators, HAZMAT spill response),
airfield/aircraft support, maintenance of athletic fields, and lease of
washers/dryers. Multiple awards are not anticipated. Proposed contract
type is a combination of fixed-price, cost-reimbursement, and IDIQ
(indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity). A one-year basic contract
with 7 one-year options is contemplated. Security clearances are
required. The applicableSIC code and size standard are 8744/$20M.
Conflict of interest rules may apply which would prohibit participation
in related acquisitions. Additional acquisition information will be

htm. Firms responding to this synopsis must (1) state whether they are
a small or large business based on the size standard above, (2)
indicate if a small disadvantaged or woman-owned business, 8(a) firm,
or a historically black college or university or minority institution
(HBCU/MI), and (3) provide experience in the form of an outline of
previous projects for specific relevant work completed or currently
being performed including contract numbers, description of the work,
points of contact, and phone numbers; professional qualifications and
specific experience of personnel identified to perform the work; and
(4) any other pertinent information which would enable the government
to assess a firm's capabilities. Because the government reserves the
right to set this acquisition aside for small businesses, 8(a) firms,
or HBCUs/MIs based on the responses received, it is imperative that
firms respond with the required information so that capabilities can be
evaluated accurately. Complete responses must be received by the
government prior to close of business on 10 Apr 97. Firms who state an
interest in subcontracting opportunities and identify their specialty
will be added to the Base Support Contract (BSC) acquisition home page
