Institute (MAI's) only. The Contractor shall furnish professional real
estate appraisal services to the Postal Service, as may be required
from time to time, specified in written orders (hereinafter called
"Work Orders"), issued by the Postal Service, pursuant to the
"Ordering" clause of any subsequent contract. The Contractor shall make
available the necessary personnel, facilities, and materials to perform
the required services through its own employees (including joint
venture employees) or through the employees of subcontractors, and to
provide the Postal Service with accurate information, cogent reports,
and clear cut options. All work shall conform to applicable Postal
Service standards based on the work to be performed. At the discretion
of the Contracting Officer, multiple contracts may be awarded. The
contract, with a guaranteed minimum of $5,000.00 will be for two years,
with options for three one-year renewals. Each task order will be
negotiated as an individual project and task orders may not exceed
$50,000. The total contract cannot exceed $200,000.00 for each 12-month
contract period. The contract may be renewed for three one-year periods
providing that the total contract amount does not exceed $1,000,000.00.
Firms that have the qualifications to perform the services described
previously are invited to submit a resume that states previous
experience in performing the above work and any prior postal experience
by April 25, 1997, at 3:00 PM. All submittals will be reviewed and the
most qualified firms will be interviewed. Interested firms with more
than one office must indicate on their resume the staffing composition
of the office or offices in which the work will be performed.
Consideration will be given to firms responding to this advertisement
in accordance with instruction in the following order of preference: 1.
Real Estate Experience; 2. Real Estate Experience in the defined
geographical area; and 3. Knowledge and Experience with Postal Real
Estate policies and procedures. There is no restriction on the
geographical location of consultants. Submissions will not be
