Contractor to provide services to take, disseminate and record surface observations to include record, special, local, and record specials. Services also include preventative maintenance of equipment, administrative and climatic duties. After ASOS is commissioned contractor shall provide services to augment and backup the ASOS, to disseminate and record backup observations as required, perform preventative maintenance of equipment to carry out administrative duties and climatic duties as needed at Charlotte, NC. Contractor shall provide certified weather observers who shall not work more than 12 hours in a 24 hour period. Contractor shall operate site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The period of performance is June 1, 1997 to May 31, 1998, with option to extend for two additional years. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside.
