for an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity contract designated
DRILL-97, Geotechnical Drilling Services (East). Work will be performed
at sites east of the Cascade Divide in the states of Oregon &
Washington, in the states of Idaho & Montana, and in Yellowstone
National Park and Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. All work will
be set forth in individual Task Orders. The majority of the work will
be in National Parks and in or near National Forests. The work consists
of drilling, sampling, and field testing in soil, rock and asphalt, and
installation of geotechnical instruments accomplished by means of
drive, push, auger, core or other rotary borings and/or undisturbed
sampling. Truck-mounted drills, and either track, ATV, or skid-mounted
drills will be required for the variable access work. Penetration
testing, split spoon sampling, core sampling, and thin wall tube
sampling will be included. The contract will be for a 1-year Base
period with the possibility of a 1-year Option. This contract will have
a guaranteed annual minimum of $10,000. The annual maximum shall not
exceed $200,000 (Base Year) and $250,000 (Option Year). This
solicitation is a TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. All firms with annual
average gross revenue for the last 3 fiscal years of $7 million or less
are considered small business under this solicitation (SIC Code 1799).
