Total overall length approximately 5 miles vicinity of Rio Grande through Alamosa, Colorado. Requires construction of seven culverts (approximately 300 feet), three with concrete headwalls, four with backflow prevention structures, three with flap gates and one with slide gate. Eight drain pipes (approximately 600 feet), 6" to 30" in diameter, six to be extended and two removed and replaced. Approximately 99,000 CY of excavation, approximately 272,000 CY off-site borrow/wetlands, approximately 272,000 CY of random fill, approximately 47,000 CY of required waste fill and approximately 6,000 CY of riprap. Plans will be issued on or about 15 April 1997 with bid opening on or about 17 June 1997. The construction period is 400 calendar days. The costof plans and specifications is $50.00 per set.
