Z -- REPAIR ROOF & HVAC, BLDG 1, HAMMOND, LA SOL KAFF90-2001-LANG POC Contract Specialist, SFC Sharlene Alexis (504) 278-8414, Contracting Officer, LTC Willard Hymel (504) 278-8412 (Site Code DAHA16) The Louisiana Air National Guard at Hammond, La requires the following services: Contractor is to provide all labor, materials, parts, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies, expertise and insurance required to Repair/Replace the Roof and HVAC for Building 1. Scope of work includes constructing a new standing seam metal roof to an existing gravel surface built-up roof, construct draft stops and facia and soffit work for a approximately 13,000 SF building. The scope of work also includes replacement of existing air handling unit, chiller, and boiler with new air handling unit, DX conditioning unit and a gas fired package boiler system. Work also includes removal of existing controls and replacing with Direct Digital Controls (DDC) sensors, and controls. Additionally a Unit Heater will be replaced with a gas fired infrared tube heater. This work is to be completed according to the drawings and specification of this project. Project Number is KAFF902001 Repair Roof/HVAC Replacement. Completion period is 200 days from Notice to Proceed. Estimated cost of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. A firm-fixed price contract is expected. This action is being considered for 100% set-aside for Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) concerns. Interested SDB concerns should notify our office, in writing of their intent to bid on the project as a prime contractor as early as possible but not later than 15 days from the date of this notice. This notification must include a positive statement of eligibility as a small socially and economically disadvantaged business concern, evidence of capacity to perform projects of this complexity and magnitude. Complete information concerning management experience in similar work and financial status should be submitted with references. If adequate interest is not received from SDB concerns, the solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further notice. Therefore, replies to this office are still requested from all interested business concerns as well as fromSmall Disadvantaged concerns. No telephone requests or fax requests for bid packages will be accepted. All requests for solicitation documents must be accompanied by a cashier's check or money order totaling $40.00, made payable to: US Treasury. All requests must be in writing.
