505-248-6794. The U. S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Region 2, seeks quotes
for collection, cultivation, and delivery of native tree and shrub
species seedlings for the Lower Rio Grande Valley National Wildlife
Refuge located in Alamo, Texas. The Refuge is located within the
boundaries of Hidalgo, Starr, Willacy, and Cameron Counties. Due to the
uniqueness of the needed seeds and the specific environmental
conditions needed for cultivation to yield a high percentage survival
rate of the seedlings, offers are sought from offerors located within
a 70-mile radius of Refuge boundaries. Collection will start
immediately after contract award with final delivery of grown seedlings
expected between September 15 through November 30, 1997. This project
is set aside for small businesses. The Standard Industrial Code is
0831, which stipulates that a small business concern's three-year
average annual receipts for the preceeding three years cannot be over
