and/or Re-manufacturing Services of various size and types of marine
buoys (Aids to Navigation) for the U. S. Coast Guard Facility Tongue
Point, Astoria, OR. The successful offeror will provide all
supervision, labor, materials, facilities, general/specialized
equipment and transportation required. Buoys will be picked up for
rework at one of the following locations: Seattle, WA., Astoria, OR
and/or Portland, OR. Buoys may require either routine and/or emergency
type maintenance. The minimum number of days required for emergency
work, may be as little as 3 days. The resulting contract will be a
firm-fixed price requirements type contract. The successful offeror
will be responsible for all transportation costs to and from the
required point(s) of delivery. The Government will evaluate proposals
on a total cost basis, which may include Government's costs of
inspection. The period of performance will be from 1 September 1997
through 31 August 1998, with four (4) one year option periods; if all
options are exercised the contract term will end on 31 August 2002.
Request for proposal packages shall be made by either U. S. Mail or
telefaxed to (510) 437-3014, request shall be on the firm's letterhead,
including the firms' complete mailing address, telephone and telefax
numbers and business size. Request for proposal packages will not be
taken over the telephone. The solicitation will be issued on or around
5 May 1997, with a closing date of 5 June 1997. The SIC code for this
solicitation is 7699. The project is 100% Set-Aside for small
businesses, all responsive offerors from small businesses will be
considered. The size standard is no more than $5.0 million dollars. For

to acquire short term working capital assistance for transportation
