COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MARCH 31,1997 PSA#1813PRELIMINARY MARKET RESEARCH FOR NAWCTSD SUPPLIES AND SERVICES The
Acquisition Management Quality Management Board of the Naval Air
Warfare Center, Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) has recently
chartered a Commercial Items Process Action Team (PAT). The purpose of
this PAT will is to provide assistance to the NAWCTSD acquisition
workforce and Commercial Items Advocate in acquiring commercial items
(supplies and services) utilizing the new FAR Part 12 Commercial Item
Acquisition process. This notice serves as preliminary market research
for this purpose. Industry is requested to identify commercial
supplies or services (as defined in FAR 2.101) that currently meet any
of the specific needs stated in the NAWCTSD New Business Forecast FY
1997-2002. The NAWCTSD New Business Forecast is on the NAWCTSD World
Wide Web Site at: http://www.ntsc.navy.mil/bf/business.htm Request
responses be forwarded via Electronic Mail to STEVE_
OGRAYENSEK@NTSC.NAVY.MIL by 30 April 1997. Hard copies of supporting
product literature or specification sheets describing the salient
characteristics of the supplies and services to be submitted are
encouraged and may be mailed under separate cover to the following

This preliminary assessment should not be construed as the final
determination that commercial items (supplies or services) are
available that can meet our requirements. Market research leading to
the development of a requirements document or product description is
organized and managed by the technical personnel responsible for
documenting the requirement for the acquisition (in conjunction with
the Integrated Product Team). Supplementary market research data on
terms, conditions and practices will be gathered at a later date.
