This is a market survey by Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA in an attempt to acquire information from industry for the sole purpose of locating sources that are interested in providing training and literature for a computer literacy program for government employees. Request that those companies interested provide literature (i.e., brochures, pamphlets, etc.), and your qualifications in providing BASIC computer training, hardware and software to the Directorate of Contracting, ATTN: SIOLE-KO, 1 Overcash Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201-4152 NOT LATER THAN 10 APRIL 1997. There is still some uncertainty as to the mechanism that will be utilized to conduct the training. However, regardless of the mechanism, there is a need to have basic computer information available for those individuals attending the training. A display area will be set up for those attending with all the information received regarding the type of hardware and software that is currently available. Should the Government elect not tohave industry conduct the training, and there is significant interest from the workforce regarding the purchase of a computer, the possibility exists that a Business Fair would be held for the purpose of providing information for those indiciduals who may choose to purchase a computer. This survey is for informational purposes only. Any information provided in reference to this survey is being provided at the companies expense and will not be returned. The survey, again, is solely for the purpose of acquiring information and does not constitute a request for proposal (RFP) and is not to be construed as a commitment on the behalf of the U.S. Government.
