U -- EDUCATION AND TRAINING SERVICE SOL 240/0157Z/97 DUE 040897 POC Purchasing Agent, SHARLA ROSS-MAYS, (202) 231-2406 The Virginia Contracting Activity, on behalf of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), intends to solicit and negotiate with Open Source Solutions, Inc. on a sole source basis to award a development and presentation of Open Source Intelligence Workshop for the Joint Military Intelligence Training Center (JMITC) at DIA. The contractor shall provide professional, non-personal services to consult on and present the Open Source Analytic Workshop at DIA facilities in Washington, D.C. In addition to Workshop presentation and preparation, responsibilities include ensuring that content is current, and adequate supply of instructional materials and handouts available, attendance during all times when the Workshop is in session, monitoring and critiquing participant performance and assisting in Workshop management. Other sources capable of satisfying this requirement are invited to submit clear and convincing data substantiating their capability to satisfy this requirement. All responses should reference 240/0157Z/97. Interested parties have 7 days from the publication date of this synopsis to submit their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a full and open competition basis. Response received without the requested information may be considered non-responsive to this synopsis. Oral communications are not acceptable to this synopsis. A determination by the Virginia Contracting Activity not to compete this proposed procurement on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this synopsis is solely within the discretion of the Virginia Contracting Activity.
