The Missouri National Guard desires an firm fixed price construction type contract for the renovation of one registered National Historic Facility in compliance with the Department of the Interior standards for renovation of historic buildings. Construction location is Jefferson Barracks Air National Guard Station, St. Louis Missouri. Work consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials for the renovation of one building to include masonry walls, roof, windows, rehabilitation of existing electrical systems to meet current national Electrical codes, replacement of original plumbing, installation of modern heating and air conditioning systems, installation of fire alarms, sprinkler, and detection systems compatible with existing base systems, architectural repairs renovation, and finish upgrades, installation of seismic designed simulation room, limited accessibility improvements, and upgrade safety/communication systems. Work also consist of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials for the construction of a facility that will accomplish corrosion control for Government vehicles and equipment in a safe, efficient, and environmentally acceptable manner. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with specifications and drawings. The performance period is 180 calendar days after receipt of the notice to proceed. Estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Estimated bid opening date is 14 May 1997. There is a $58.00 non refundable deposit per set of specifications and drawings.
