SOLICITATION NOTICE -- The work includes the furnishing of all labor, material and equipment to construct two (2) dormitory buildings to house 192 people consisting of private living units with shared bath and kitchenette, lounges, laundries, office, bulk storage, etc. Two (2) separate mechanical buildings are also required. Included, but not limited to, are the following items of work for (a) Building: cast-in-place concrete, reinforced masonry, structural steel & metals, prefinished metal roof, doors, windows, interior finishes, casework, furnishings, specialties, kitchen equipment, fire protection system, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and telephone system, (b) Site: utilities, site lighting, paving landscaping/irrigation, concrete walkways, etc. Work also includes the demolition of one existing three story concrete dormitory with the abatement of hazardous material. THIS PROJECT IS IN METRIC UNITS. This is a firm fixed price contract. The estimated construction cost is over $10,000,000. Contract duration is approximately 480 calendar days. The standard industrial code is 1522 and the related small business stndard is $17,000,000. This proposed acquisition is unrestricted. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 1 November 1996.
