This is a notice of intent to negotiate with Purvis Systems, 1272 W. Main Road, Middletown, Rhode Island 02842 on an other than full and open competitive basis to purchase 2 each Dual Common Switch p/n 220- 330000-409, 3 each 1 Common/1 Position switch p/n 220-230000-409, 7 each 2 Position Switch p/n 220-130000-409, 1 each Enclosure Switch p/n 220-010000-409, 14 each Connector Switch p/n 220-050000-109 and 2 each Remote Control Cable p/n 220-000300-327-2 to ensure 100% compatibility and interface with the switches currently existing. These components are required to expand the existing digital switching system. The increase in switching capability will eliminate a minimum of (10) 1299 electro-mechanical switches, with a possibility to expand at a very low cost. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Purvis Systems to ensure the capability to manage other imminent and future systems installation, testing and evaluation and still support all present requirementsand functions of shipboard systems. Delivery is required to be FOB Destination to Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland within 30 days after contract award.
