This notice is an amendment to provided clarification and definitions of the synopsis/solicitation published in the CBD on 03 Mar 97 and 21 Mar 97. Clarifications. Only the tower (y-axis) need be capable of reorientation by 90 degrees. The system must have motion in the x-axis (otherwise it would be a 1-D scanner). The upgrade must enable the system to scan in a cylindrical coordinate system i.e. as a function of radius, azimuthal angle and height. Definitions. Multi-level scan generation -- allows the system to collect a certain number of beam positions over a broad frequency range. It will be used in conjunction with an HP8530 with dual sources. An example of an application would be the measurement of a multiplex antenna. Near field simulation -- Allows the user to generate simulated near field data. This feature would be used for training and trouble shooting purposes. Holographic projections -- allows the user to visualize the field at the aperture (near field to aperture transformation). It also allows the user to plot the response in a variety of different manners, including contour plots, 3-D images and gray scale plots. NO FURTHER QUESTIONS WILL BE ADDRESSED.
