Two design reviews are required, with the final construction documents due by July 16, 1997. The project will involve demolition, insulation, masonry work and roofing repairs with an estimated construction cost between $250,000 and $500,000. The parapet and roof system on the third, eighth and ninth floors of Building #1 will be replaced and the masonry on the third and ninth floors will be tuckpointed and sealed. Miscellaneous stonework will also be required. Particular attention must be focused on the window lintels where the brick has deteriorated. Consideration will be limited to emerging small business firms within a 65 mile radius of the Providence VA Medical Center. Applicable SIC code is 8712. For the purposes of this announcement, an emerging small business is one whose average annualgross receipts for the last 3 fiscal years did not exceed $1.25 million.
