The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, USDA, intends to negotiate with Williams Telecommunications Systems Inc., (WilTel) for telecommunication services at the Miami International Airport (MIA), Port of Miami, and Key West, to provide a Local Area Network (LAN) infrastructure at various locations within the South Florida area. WilTel owns and operates a "state-of-the-art" fiber optic based communications network via long term contract with the Dade County Aviation Department (DCAD). WilTel is the sole provider of these services for the tenants at the Miami International Airport. This network spans approximately the 25 square mile MIA complex. (0086)
