This is a correction to the synopsis for solicitation number N00421-97-R-1267 originally posted on 06 March 1997 under the Classification Code J -- Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment. The announcement should read as follows: The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD proposes to acquire Factory Engineering Support, Depot Repair Support, and Field Service for various proprietary equipments manufactured and supported by METRUM, Inc., Littleton, CO. These equipments include AN/USH-31(V) and AN/USH-XX equipments, Model 97 Magnetic Tape Recorder, MTC-96 Magnetic Tape Cleaner, Bit Error Test Set, Model 1858 Visicorder, AN/ASH-33 Systems, AN/ASH-34 Units and Tape Loader Certifier Units. In addition the contractor shall supply field service support for the Sony DVR-1000, DIR-1000, and the Lockheed Martin RDR-400 Recording system. This action will be negotiated on a sole source basis with METRUM, Inc. under the statutory authority of FAR 6.302-1 (only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements).
