The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for repairs to be conducted on its Cooling Tower, BAC Model #4461-3/P4-6530-79. Repairs shall include removing existing PVC FILL sheets, support channels and angles, installation of new FILL SUPPORT ANGLES and CHANNELS, and the repair or replacement of wooden air baffles and retainers. The government will provide the contractor with at least 7 days advanced notice before work should begin. After such, the contractor shall be able to complete the required repairs within 7-10 days. This 7 day advanced notice shall be given within 18 months after award of contract, however the contractor shall be given at least 2 months after award of contract to prepare for this job. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed-price contract. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by this agency.
