Reinstall Propeller Shaft, (3) Overhaul Shaft Seal, (4) Remove,
Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller, (5) Clean and Inspect Heat Exchanges,
(6) Clean Exhaust Stacks and Spark Arrestors, (7) Preserve the
Transducer Hull Rings and Renew the Depth Indicating Transducers, (8)
Modify Motor Room and Aft Steering Ventilation, (9) Overhaul, Renew and
Test Valves, (10) Inspect and Test Steering System Relief Valves, (11)
Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Rudder Assembly, (12) Overhaul Anchor
Windlass Assembly, (13) Overhaul Anchor and Anchor Chain, (14) Overhaul
Warping Capstan Assembly, (15) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel Oil Tanks,
(16) Preserve Underwater Body -- Fresh Water, Non-destructive Coating
System Thickness Measurements -- Tender, (17) Clean, Inspect Sewage &
Grey Water Collection & Holding Tanks, (18) Provide Temporary
Logistics, (19) Routine Drydocking, etc. Indefinite items include but
are not limited to the following: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Renew Shaft
Coupling Bolts and Machine Shaft Coupling, (3) Straighten Shaft, (4)
Renew Stern Tube Bearing and Bearing Staves, (5) Renew Shaft Sleeves,
(6) Minor Repair and Recondition Propeller, (7) 8.0, 6.0, 10.0 3.0,
2.5, 2.0, 1.5, 1.0 Inch Waster Piece Renewal, (8) Overhaul Steering
Pumps, (9) Renew Rudder Bearings, (10) Remove and Dispose of Fuel
Oil(10,000 Gallons), (11) Preserve Underwater Body Fresh Water,
Condition A/B -- Tender (365 Sq Ft) & Condition A/B -- Tender, Entire
U/W Body, (12) Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding
Tanks, (13) Renew Corrosion Preventive Zinc Anodes, (14) Provide
Temporary Messing and Berthing, (15) Provide Additional Temporary
Messing and Berthing, (16) Reconfigure Crew's Washroom, (17) Ultrasonic
Testing, etc. Vessel's homeport is Sault Ste Marie, MI. The place of
performance is restricted to the Great Lakes. Vessel's availability
schedule is 28 JUL 97 for 42 days. Vessel is a 140 Foot Icebreaking
Tug. Breadth, Extreme is 37 Feet 6 inches. All referenced documents are
available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 500, Norfolk, VA.
A charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified check or
money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit
bids for the subject requirement. Plans and specifications will be
issued on or after 16 APR 97. All responsible sources may submit a bid
which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. "This
