The purpose of this modification is to inform parties who had expressed interest in the requirements previously synopsized 4 FEB 97 that action on the proposed acquisition has been suspended until the beginning of the next fiscal year at the earliest. At that point in time a decision will be made to either move forward with the requirement or cancel it. If it is cancelled another CBD mod. to that affect will be issued. If it is reinstated a copy of the eventual RFP will be forwarded to those who have already expressed their interest as a result of the initial synopsis. As a result, RFP N00421-96-R-5169 will not be released 28 MAR 97 as indicated in the original CBD announcement.
