DACW41) REPLACMENT OF GENERATOR EXCITER FOR STOCKTON HYDRPOWER FACILITY
STOCKTON, MISSOURI. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials,
plants, and equipment to perform in strict accordance with the
detailed requirements of the specifications, all the work necessary to
prepare drawings, data, and installation instructions, to manufacture,
to shop test, to prepare and load for shipment and deliver f.o.b.
destination and install one complete solid state, digital or analog,
static excitation system as described in the schedule and technicial
specifications. The solid state static excitation system shall include,
but not limited to: 15 kV current limiting fuses and disconnect switch,
bus tap, power potential transformer and primary terminal chamber,
excitation cubicle including thyristor bridge(s) and voltage regulator,
new collector rings, collector ring brush assemblies, required bus,
cable, and conduit to interconnect the bus tap,fuses, power potential
transformer, exciter rectifier bridge, and collectorring brush
assembly, accessories, spare parts, and all miscellaneous equipment and
supplies including any necessary devices mounted external to the
excitation equipment. In addition, the Contractor shall install the
excitation equipment and shall furnish and install all necessary
control cable, conduit, remote switches and indicators, make all
control cable connections between the exciter and exisiting control
boards, and field test and adjust the complete excitation system to
perform as indicated by this specification. The excitation system to be
furnished under this contract shall be designed to operate as the
synchronous fixed excitation source for a hydraulic- turbine driven AC
generator with a nameplate rating of 47,579 kVA, 0.95 power factor, 3
phase, 60 Hz, 75 RPM, 13,800 volts, and 60 degree Celsius temperature
rise. The excitation system shall be designed for a 35 year minium
service life with operation under highly varying loads. NOTE: Contract
