67 -- 16MM & 35MM LIQUID GATES PRINTING SYSTEM SOL IN97C-13 POC Mary Ann Leonard, Contracting Officer, 202-707-8615 WEB: The Library of Congress, http://www.loc.gov. E-MAIL: The Library of Congress, asli@loc.gov. The Library of Congress, Motion Picture Conservation Center, intends to enter into a sole-source negotiation with Klaus Linnenbrugger for the purchase of one 16mm and one 35mm liquid gate printing system used when printing archival motion picture film that has extreme shrinkage and warpage of the film base. The system must provide a steel body with adjustable transportation pins for frame line adjustment that can be custom fit to the level of shrinkage within a roll of film; stainless steel plates with quartz glass windows and one set of spring-loaded side guides that insures the film stays properly registered from frame to frame, no matter how badly the film is twisted or warped. Interested offerors must provide sufficient technical documentation to demonstrate the capability to satisfy the requirements, complete pricing including all charges and a copy of the GSA contract, (if applicable). If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of this notice, the contracting officer shall proceed with negotiations with Klaus Linnenbruegger. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE, THEREFORE REQUEST FOR SUCH DOCUMENT WILL BE CONSIDERED AN INVALID RESPONSE. See Note 22. (0090)
