99 -- LAUNDERING AND STERILIZATION OF SURGICAL LINEN/GOWN PACKS SOL F41636-97-R0058 DUE 052197 POC Frank Conaway, Contract Specialist, 210 671-1753 Acquisition is for non-personal services to provide all labor and transportation to perform off-site reprocessing service to provide Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center, Lackland AFB TX, with sterile liquid resistant gowns, liquidproof gowns and towels. The service will include the support of a nurse consultant to aid in product inservicing and optimizing pack configuration. All products are to be owned and maintained by the contractor. All processes used to wash, dry, decontaminate and sterilize the products must be validated and be micro processor controlled to ensure heat temperatures were met and held for the washing, sterilizing and drying process. Solicitation F41636-97-R0058 will be issued approximately 21 April 97. A Firm Fixed price is contemplated with a performance period of 1 Oct 97 through 30 Sept 98 with four option years.
