Issue Date: 1 May 97, Bid Opening Date: 1 Jun 97. Controlled dry temporary storage systems in Southwest Asia all or part of this action is an unfunded FY97 requirement. Estimated issue date of this solicitation is 050197. The Government has a requirement for approximately 300 controlled dry storage systems in Southwest Asia. Contractor responsibility includes, but is not limited to, all required coordination with host nation government for services and regulatory requirements, system layout (within predetermined area), movement of all required assets to the site, and installation and testing of each assembly/subassembly. The contractor shall provide approximately 300 tunnels of varying sizes with support equipment, all assets or training necessary to ensure continuous operation and maintenance of the total system, to include electrical generation on a lease basis (host nation power not available) for the duration of the contract (2-4 years). Initial contractor presence is required within 30-60 days after contract award and system delivery is required within 120 days after contract award. An evaluated option is anticipated.
