addressing requests for solicitations and bids/offers. Failure to
properly address requests for solicitations in accordance with this CBD
notice will result in non-receipt of the solicitation package. Failure
to properly address bids/offers in accordance to solicitation
instructions may result in a late bid which cannot be considered.
Written, fax, or electronic requests for solicitation packages are
accepted. No telephone requests will be honored. Requests for copies of
this solicitation should include your commercial and government entity
(CAGE, a CAGE code has been assigned to you) along with your name,
address, data fax number, and solicitation number. The fax number for
requests is (309)782-4803. Electronic requests may be accepted through
the Automated Acquisition Information System (AAIS). All IOC
solicitations are available for viewing/downloading, in addition to
procurement history, via the AAIS. The AAIS is accessible
electronically 24 hours a day via modem at (309)782-7648. Terminal
emulation should be VT100, no parity, 8 data bits and 1 stop bit. Once
connected, enter 'aais' at the 'LOGIN' prompt. At the 'PASSWORD'
prompt depress the 'ENTER' key. Information obtained through AAIS is
also available on the Internet. Prospective customers may now access
the IOC home page at http://www-ioc.army.mil/. The current method of
accessing data through AAIS will remain in place until further notice.
At which time access using modems and login will be discontinued.
Issue Date: 1 May 97, Bid Opening Date: 1 Jun 97. Controlled dry
temporary storage systems in Southwest Asia all or part of this action
is an unfunded FY97 requirement. Estimated issue date of this
solicitation is 050197. The Government has a requirement for
approximately 300 controlled dry storage systems in Southwest Asia.
Contractor responsibility includes, but is not limited to, all required
coordination with host nation government for services and regulatory
requirements, system layout (within predetermined area), movement of
all required assets to the site, and installation and testing of each
assembly/subassembly. The contractor shall provide approximately 300
tunnels of varying sizes with support equipment, all assets or training
necessary to ensure continuous operation and maintenance of the total
system, to include electrical generation on a lease basis (host nation
power not available) for the duration of the contract (2-4 years).
Initial contractor presence is required within 30-60 days after
contract award and system delivery is required within 120 days after
contract award. An evaluated option is anticipated. FOB is unknown.
