The National Park Service, Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA), San Francisco, CA, has identified a requirement to solicit for services related to the design, furnishing, and installation of complete irrigation systems within GGNRA boundaries, including the Presidio of San Francisco. The work includes, but is not limited to: existing lawns, existing and proposed planting beds; quick coupling spray and drip irrigation systems for purposes of establishing and /or re-establishing plant material in native plant restoration and historic forest restoration areas, including herbicide treatment; removal of existing turf, placement of topsoil, finish grading, fertilizing and sodding; protection of site features and landscape amenities, in-kind replacement of site amenities which are damaged or removed during installation; installation of erosion control measures including silt fencing and erosion control blankets where necessary; selective demolition of existing landscape features, irrigation systems, pavement, trenching and backfill; repair of asphalt and concrete paving damaged during installation; general landscaping related to subject work including fine grading, root pruning of trees adjacent to and beneath sidewalks, installing root guard, planting trees, shrubs, groundcover, mulching, fertilizing, seeding or sodding of native grasses or turf. Award of multiple Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts for a base period of 1-year with four (4) 1-year options, exercisable at the sole discretion of GGNRA, is anticipated. Offerors' proposal must fully demonstrate compliance with the following MINIMUM criteria: (a) ability to use CADD technology, specifically Autocad Series 13; (b) evidence of successful past performance in environmentally sensitive locations, as well as residential and commercial settings. Proposals which fully conform to the minimum qualifications listed above will be further evaluated subject to the following additional criteria, listed in order of descending preference: (1) professional qualifications of the firm / staff for the performance of desired services; (2) evidence of license / qualifications to install and test backflow prevention assemblies within San Francisco County, (3) specialized and recent experience and technical expertise in the design and installation of spray and drip irrigation systems; (4) demonstrated experience of the firm / organization in working with federal, state and local codes and regulations, and dealing with local and regional design requirements; (5) demonstrated experience and familiarity with numerous irrigation product manufacturer's equipment; and (6) local office located within 150 miles of GGNRA Headquarters at Fort Mason, San Francisco, CA.
