Furnish all labor, tools, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to provide new vinyl siding for Capehart Housing. New vinyl siding is to be provided over new underlayment, which is to be provided over existing siding/wood, incorporating the use of aluminum for covering trim as appropriate. Also to be included is the replacement of deteriorated wood in the areas of work under this contract. Capehart Housing consists of 250 one story family houses units that are separated into two categories (Officer and Enlisted), at two different sites. There are 30 Officer Housing units at one site and 250 Enlisted Housing units at a different site. The entire enlisted complex consists of 2-unit (duplex type) structures, with a housing unit each end separated by a 2-carport/storage room areas. The Officer's complex consists of 10 single unit houses, 10 of the 2-unit (duplex type) structures. Construction for these housing units is wood framing, primarily brick veneer, slab on grade, with some wood sidingexisting at the carport/storage room areas, gable ends, front porch areas, etc. It is pointed out that lead containing paint exists on the exterior of these housing units and that some lead paint abatement will be required prior to the residing work that is to be accomplished on these housing units. This contract is a firm fixed price construction project. Cost estimate is between $500,000.00-$1,000,000.00. Time for completion is 360 calendar days.
