The custom tower base that allows for 90 degree rotation is required so that measurements can be made as a function of radial distance from the target as well as being used as a conventional x-y scanner.. While the Contractor shall provide planar positioning and processing software which is PC based, the PC on which to run the software is not required, unless the PC requires special options (i.e. timing chips) then the contractor must provide an appropriate PC. If the software runs reliably on a standard off-the-shelf PC or clone then it is not required. Substitution of the scanner with a box frame scanner is not acceptable. No further questions will be addressed. The closing date is extended to 07 Apr 97. All other terms and conditions remain the same.
