Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is seeking a source for an
inexpensive device which can be used to measure a 25 gram (plus or
minus) sample of ground meat or poultry. The product must be
individually wrapped, sterile, and disposable. The product must enable
the user to accurately measure and easily eject the sample. One
possibility might be, but is not limited to, a plastic cylinder, no
less than three centimeters in diameter, open-ended, with a plunger.
Responsible sources shall submit detailed documentation of their
product. All information must be received by April 15, 1997. This
request is for information and planning purposes only and does not
commit the Government. There is NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT AVAILABLE.
FSIS does not intend to award a contract based on the information
received. Vendors are reminded that only the Contracting Office has the
