Abney, 202-708-6498, Christina McCrary, 202-708-9741, Contract Specialist The National Library of Education is charged with providing the United States Department of Education with a One Stop Information and Referral Service center. Key features of this center will be an 800 line form which customer can request any ED publication, a state of the art inventory system, data base searches, publication storage, effective mail handling, referral capabilities, and maintenance of mailing lists. This contract shall include a performance bases statement of work, quality assurance surveillance plan, and financial incentives/deductions clauses. RFP 98-0012 will be issued on or about April 16, 1997. It is anticipated that the closing date for receipt will be on May 30, 1997. Telephone requested should be placed by calling (202) 708-8191. The Request for Proposals can also be found on the Internet on or about the RFP issue date at http://gcs.ed.gov or gopher://gcs.ed.gov. Written requests should be sent to the address given above. Copies may be picked up after the date of release. Because of tightened security, offerors can not enter our building on their own. To pick up a copy of the RFP or to drop off proposals, offerors shall go the the D Street exit and have the guard call the Support Services Group(SSG) at 708-8191 and ask to sign the offeror in, in order to deliver the proposals to SSG.
