Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Center-TRACON Automation System
(CTAS) program has a requirement to replace the existing site support
contract, which expires on July 31, 1997. The requirement is set forth
in a Screening Information Request (SIR) issued pursuant to the FAA's
Acquisition Management System and it can be found on the internet at:
http://www.faa.gov/asu/cd/cdco.htm. The SIR includes a complete
explanation of how to prepare a proposal (Section L) and the criteria
by which proposals will be evaluated (Section M). In summary, a total
of 2 site coordinators are need for the facilities at Denver
International Airport (DIA) and the Denver Air Traffic Control Center
(ZVD); one coordinator is needed for the Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport and
Center (DFW/ZFW); and one coordinator is needed for the National
Aeronautical and Space Administration's Langley Research Center
(NASA/LRC). In addition, an administrative assistant and program
manager are needed. Competition for the requirement is restricted to
those small businesses qualified under the Small Business
Administration's 8(A) program for disadvantaged businesses. All
proposals must be submitted no later than 2:00 p.m. (EDT) on Thursday,
May 1, 1997, in the depository provided at the FAA headquarters
building, in room 406, 800 Independence Avenue, SW, Washington, DC,
