The USAID Mission to Cambodia is implementing its Regional Economic Growth Program for Cambodia. The overall strategic objective of the program is aimed at achieving a significant boost in farm incomes and production throughout three provinces in Cambodia. The Mission seeks a U.S. technical assistance contractor to achieve intermediate results which will lead to achievement of the overall Program Objective. The contractor shall be responsible for the following intermediate results areas: 1) environmentally sound water management practices, 2) improved access to and utilization of appropriate agricultural inputs and technology, 3) agricultural and environmental policies which are essential for sustaining production increases. The Contract will also be reaponsible for overall coordination of all five program intermediate results, including the two remaining intermediate results areas, roads improvement and microfinance (implemented outside the contract solicitedhere). USAID anticipates awarding a cost reimbursement contract for an initial five year period with a possible future sixth noncompetitive add-on. The USAID funding available for the initial five year period is a maximum of $7.7 million, with performance commencing about October 1, 1997. The Request for Proposals (RFP) is expected to be issued in late April 1997. The preferred method of distribution of USAID procurement information is via the Internet or by written request of a solicitation on a 3.5" floppy disk (Wordperfect 5.1/5.2 format).
